To read more about the author, Alison Weir, check out her website here. She explains on her About the Author Page that "I feel very privileged to be able to bring them to life in both my non-fiction books and my novels. In both cases, I feel that an author has a responsibility to be as true to the facts as is possible."

One of our Wiki members Englishsetter has written a clever poem to go along with our book! Here it is:

But soft! What light through yonder window (computer) breaks?
It is the eastern (Londoner) Alison Weir and Elizabeth is the sun!
It is my Lady (excellent book choice).
O it is my love (Tudor history - fact or fiction)!

Partake of a fair copy of Lady Elizabeth
The which if you with patient eyes attend,
What here shall miss, our toils shall strive to mend.

After 500 years, if Queen Elizabeth has finally decided to open windows to look into men's souls (Lol), I think she would be well pleased here.
Just in case- I thought I would offer up a little twist on her old poet & friend, Shakespeare- to humor the Lady Elizabeth.

I e-mailed Alison Weir, the author of our Book Club book, and had a response! She tried to access the discussion boards, but unfortunately wetpaint won't allow people from outside the USA to access. I am looking into how to change this, if it can be. Anyway, she sent me a transcript of an interview she did in 2008 on the novel. I have posted it here (http://everythingtudor.com/bookblog/?p=2178) at the Tudor Book Blog. Enjoy! :)

What do you guys think about reading Chapters two and three for next week? They are both shorter so I thought we could combine them. Let me know!
